How a simple idea became a designer outdoor tub
Nine years ago, when Bardo joined RIHO as Design Manager, he noticed how quickly the garden was changing. Outdoor kitchens, covered terraces and complete outdoor living spaces were becoming part of everyday life. Yet one thing was still missing: a beautifully designed bath made for the outdoors. The idea stayed with him.
The moment of inspiration
Six years later, inspiration struck during a holiday in France. From a hill overlooking a glamping site, Bardo spotted someone carrying a traditional English clawfoot bath towards their tent. It was an unexpected sight and it sparked an idea!
In that moment, a simple question took shape: what if a bathtub could become part of the garden? A tub that was beautiful to look at, practical to use and suited any garden. There, on that hillside, he drew the first sketch of what would later become Gardentub.
From sketch to design
The goal was clear: a lasting piece of garden furniture, rather than an inflatable tub that lasts just one season.

Made in the Netherlands
To create a truly sustainable product, Gardentub is designed and made in Tilburg, in the Netherlands. The tub is made from fully recyclable LDPE: strong, resistant to fading and suitable for staying outdoors all year round.
With options such as a brass or matt black faucet, a shower, a protective cover and practical accessories, Gardentub becomes a lasting, stylish part of your garden.
